Bridesmaid Dress Blues

So, my sister had a lovely baby girl 6 months ago. She ordered a bridesmaid dress 2 months ago. And it doesn't fit. Not because she ordered the right size, but she ordered the size that was $50 less than the "next" size category.

When faced with this decision, encourage your bridesmaids to order the right size and not go through the agony of what my sister just went through. No woman should have to wear a bridesmaid dress after just giving birth, but if they have to they should be kind enough to themselves to order the right size. And no one knows what size you ordered when you walk down that aisle, so it really doesn't matter.

Thankfully, we have a master seamstress on the case. Who is now in possession of my wedding dress!!! eeeeee. first fitting: done.

Pleasant-er

A few days after returning from the unnamed midwest city, I gathered a few friends and my sister for some bridesmaid dress shopping at RK Bridal and palliative how-bad-are-your-in-laws lunch afterwards.

Despite one pregnant sister's slight objections, we picked this Alfred Sung dress in midnight. RK bridal was extremely affordable. The dress should come out to $102 before shipping, alterations and taxes, who knew they were so affordable? Kind of explains their horrible website.

We have two pregnant sisters and several bridesmaids "going off" the birth control, aka pulling the goalie. I may be preceded by a line of pregnant women and recent moms. And nothing would make me happier.

i'm lovin' it

duh na na na NA... I'm lovin' this dress, but not the teal color for the October wedding. I also love the idea of everyone just getting their own dress (possibly black) and just having the team hold flowers.
