Can I go with neither fun nor ridiculous? Just an extra thing to fret over. Would be pretty but unnecessary, so totally depends on your time/money.

That would be a great way to give the bridesmaids some individuality. It would also be very sweet to pick a brooch for each bridesmaid based on their individual styles and present it to them as a gift before the wedding!
